if they could ever figure out how to market their product and athletes (and I'm not saying I have the answers), the nhl could get there too.

No they won’t nba fan base in North America and the rest of the world is like wayyyyyyyyyyyyy bigger than the nhl.. there are like 100+ countries in the world with nba tv rights paying the nba.. NHL? Outside of Canada and some us cities and the European countries are not really all that popular.. basketball is easily accessible for everyone. Hockey is only available for the privileged. That’s why nba and soccer/football makes so much money coz everyone growing up can easily have access to playing the sport and eventually being a fan.

Not sure how Myers can be 3 when is disaster with Hughes and plays same side as Hronek unless we are running a Hughes-Hronek pairing he is third pair.

Sure, third pair for Myers...

Hughes - Juulsen

XXX - Hronek

Hirose - Myers

I'd prefer to keep Juulsen as 7th D even though I liked him with Quinn.

I think that Hirose - Myers could be a good 3rd pair

Hughes - 1RD

2LD - Hronek

3LD - 3RD

Wolanin - Juulsen

I think 1RD is headed towards.... Matt Dumba

I think 2LD is headed towards... Carson Soucy

I think 3LD is headed towards... Ian Cole

I think 3RD is headed towards... Justin Holl (pending a trade of Myers)

I also think Rathbone is going to be headed somewhere whether with Myers or with Garland as an additional piece.

Don’t think we have the cap for all that and 3rd line centre.
If Garland could be moved without significant sweetener would have happened by now.

On Canucks Central, they speculated the Myers deal is pending signing another legit defensemen that can take his minutes. This would help explain the reported interest in Severson, and other higher priced RD…

Wonder if Myers goes to San Jose shortly after we sign our first D?

SCOUTING REPORT

The son of former NHL forward Randy Wood has the same kind of speed that his father showed during his 11 seasons in the league. His kin also has good two-way instincts and hockey sense, but it is his speed that can back off opponents and create breakaways. That is his biggest attribute. Plays best in a faster, less-structured system, though he is not a great finisher and still has to improve his play away from the puck. Injuries have been a problem for him, partly because of his somewhat reckless playing style.

Long Range Potential:Speedy power forward (when healthy).

How are some of these teams getting players to be about to signed before it all starts? This is total tampering and each of these teams ought to be be punished. Not right

OEL signed at 11 am

McCleod I like avg 1 hit per game

Gets involved, good on the dot

Could contain: Chart, Plot, Measurements, Text, Number, Symbol

I would say Malhotra comparison

Takes a load of pk faceoffs, and pressure off our other centers. physical.

Thanks but he is a winger and we already have too many of those.

Eye on the prize people!

3rd line centre and or a defender!

While I agree, I fully expect wingers to be signed this week. I’ll put the over/under at 2.5 wingers
