Ossi Vaananen
We all know the 1st and 2nd overalls eventually develop into stud players, but what about the # 3 that so often gets overlooked.I have dedicated this thread to answering the question, if you could have 1 of the # 3 overall picks from the last 6 years, who would you take and why? Let's suppose you're a GM and you want to begin your rebuild by acquiring one of these players. The options: 2007 - Kyle Turris © 2008 - Zack Bogosian (D) 2009 - Matt Duchene © 2010 - Eric Gudbranson (D) 2011 - Jonathan Huberdeau © 2012 - Alex Galchenyuk © 4 F 2 D. Smashian Kassian
It's early to tell but I'm gunna say Galchenyuk, I'm a Duchene fan but I think Gally will be better.

Ossi Vaananen
No love for Turris so far. I voted Gudbranson because a big shut down stud D is a good place to start a rebuild. He will be logging big minutes when his offensive game gets to the NHL level. Aside from Gudbranson I'd probably go with Huberdeau, he's going to be a scoring machine. uber_pwnzor
It's really too early to tell, most of them aren't NHL regulars yet, anything can happen...

Jägermeister
I'd take Huberdeau over Duchene no doubt. Gudbranson too.
Xbox
Ummm... Hank? As for the players in the poll, right now Duchene is the clear winner but Gudbranson has the potential to be the best in 5 years' time, or at least the most important to his team. nowhereman
Right now, it's Duchene but that could change in the next few seasons. Duchene has proven that he has all the tools but no toolbox. The guy's got limited hockey sense. Any one of Galchenyuk, Huberdeau, or Gudbranson could end up better than him.
