86Viking
if we were to have picked someone up off waivers it should have been mccormick! not this guy

DownUndaCanuck
No room in the NHL for a fighter anymore. If you can't kill penalties, skate well and score on top of fighting no one wants you. We've got plenty of 4th liners better than him, Weise, Volpatti, Lapierre and Pinizotto all do more.
Smashian Kassian
No thanks, like I have said before we don't need a guy who can't skate and is strictly a fighter, I would rather Volpatti in the line-up.

canucklehead44
I wouldn't mind picking him up, he wouldn't have a regular roster spot anyway. Having a guy like McGrattan would be useful if we started getting pushed around in the playoffs again.

D.Doughty
No, don't claim his plug. There is a reason why NASHVILLE put him on waivers
Sestito29
Everyone on this forum who mentions John Scott as a useful NHLer just makes themselves look silly You'd think such a useful NHLer would have seen more playoff games since he's so useful and could be acquired for next to nothing
SkeeterHansen
Which doesn't make much sense considering he is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller, worse fighter and has played all of 33 games in the NHL. McGrattan is able to play a regular shift and has some upside. In his last 20 games in the AHL, he put up 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points. Obviously not going to be putting up much in the show playing under 5 min a game. Volpatti has the same minimal numbers. He has a 600K cap hit (and a 2 way contract, so 105K salary in the AHL) and UFA at the end of the summer. I don't see how this would hurt. Trying him on the 4th line instead of Patti or Weise (yes he kills penalties, but we have enough forwards who can do that) could work.

D.Doughty
Because he got outplayed and there is no roster spot for him anymore? I'd love for Gillis to claim McGrattan. IMO he has that element of toughness that we've lacked for a while.
