Bigturk8
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC Stalberg (NASH) & Carkner (NYI) on waivershttps://mobile.twitter.com/FriedgeHNIC/status/567007386662350849
King Heffy
I'd take a flyer on Carkner if Edler is out long-term. We could use some snarl on the back-end with Juice hurt.
Off_The_Schneid!
Has Carkner been playing all season? Is this leading up to a trade? Or just bringing up youth?

c00kies
stalberg is really fast Has a terrible contract though. I think this is the 2nd time he's been on waivers this year.
Brick Tamland
Carkner fills a few things we lack. Rugged in front of the net and can drop the mitts with any heavy. With our injury woes he is a serviceable asset.

Carl's Jn
on a skilled team like the black hawks stalberg is a good player. has to be a team deep with skill otherwise his a role as a depth player is no good...
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Carkner pls with Bieksa out we need some defensive snarl. And if Edler is gonna miss a few we should grab him.

Hunter.S-Kerouac
Never got how Stalberg could fetch so much (FA madness). He was averaging around .5ppg in Chi
Provost
We would be dumb not to take Carkner if he was still available for us. Fill in for injuries, no term left on his contract so if we get everyone back healthy it doesn't hurt us.
Tommi-Santala
Carkners been on the IR all season. Pass on that

RRypien37
No-brainer picking up Carkner.
The Lock
I don't see how Carkner would be a no brainer. He's 34 and would be using up a slot one of our younger players could use.
RRypien37
I don't see how Carkner would be a no brainer. He's 34 and would be using up a slot one of our younger players could use. Because we have almost zero toughness and intimidating size on our D roster. Bieksa is the only toughness we have, who doesn't even crack 200 pounds and is currently injured. Edler is our biggest guy at 6'3 215. Carkner is 6'4-6'5 230+ pounds, with a mean streak and strong fighting ability. We have been lacking that crease clearing brute on the blue line since I can remember. To add to that, his very manageable 1.5 million cap hit expires at the end of the season. Really think Weber or Stanton are any better options at this point? He brings in value that they simply cannot provide. This would also relieve some pressure off Dorsett from being forced to go after the other teams heavies, getting rag dolled and potentially injured when he has been an integral part of the bottom 6. Win win pick up in my eyes.
