Not sure how to quotes urls but I'm sure someone will do that for me lol

Very disappointed, but there is a possibility of trading up and even if we don't we could move back or maybe pick up Vilardi? Either way we're getting a good player, just wish it could of been Hischier :(

The number 11 strikes again. In the entry lottery in 1970 (on June 11) we thought we won when the wheel hit #2 (II), but it was actually Buffalo's #11. In 2017 we had 11 but it only serves to deny us the pick.

#11 Messier.

Wayne Maki #11

Not surprised at all with the result, but disappointed. Sure, they'll draft a good player, but not a #1C. They needed this. Maybe next year.

Here's one for you... If we had 1 more point we would have had Jerseys numbers and won the lottery. Team is cursed.

Butterfly effect. We probably wouldn't have gotten the same numbers if we were in Jersey's spot, and the winning number would probably be different.

You beat me to the Wayne Maki by milliseconds  lol

As for the 1C......not necessarily.  The top 2 have separated themselves but 3-10 are very good too.  I think that depending on the GM, the ranking of those 8 players could be very different.  Vallardi is probably 3 but the others.....it depends on how you rate your criteria.....character, speed, size, shot, playmaking, IQ.....so there's no saying that Benning's guy isn't there at 5

Anyone know who has the longest streak of never getting a first overall? Is it us ?

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks joined the NHL in 1970 and are the longest-serving NHL team to never have the top pick in the draft. In their first draft, they picked Dale Tallon at No. 2 and didn’t pick that high again until 1988 when they took Trevor Linden
