b3.
Damn, was really hoping Pedan stayed. He had a solid camp.

Ossi Vaananen
I always find myself rubbing my hands with greed whenever I see names I recognize on waivers, despite them being rejects of other teams. That said, doesn't Rychel as a freebee look enticing?
missioncanucksfan
Kerby Rychel would be the guy I'm interested in. Guelph connection with Todd Harvey and Scott Walker

JM_
Since we waived Pedan we have to grab up Ryan Sproule from Detroit, unless Colorado gets him first. We should also take Rychel from TO.
apollo
This is definitely the strongest most "quality" waiver group so far. I think Jurco gets picked back up by Detroit. Hope Teemu is picked up too.
ReggieBush
Not surprised that Pedan got sent down. He is still rough around the edges and needs more development. Biega (by a mile) and even Wiercioch are better defenseman than him at this moment in time.

Guelph connection with Todd Harvey and Scott Walker for sure. His name came up a lot in all the Tanev trade talk for good reason, more upside potentially than Burmy and only 22. diesel_3
Subban as a development project in the A? Rychel would be a great addition to Utica, still very young and has had a few good years of pro under his belt. Anybody know off hand how many contracts Canucks currently have? VegasCanuck
Sorry to see Pedan heading back to Utica, but at the same time, I'd rather he was getting meaningful minutes in down there. I think he has potential still and will probably be pretty high up on our recall for injuries list.

They have 48 contracts but only 47 count if Juolevi goes back to Juniors. If he goes to Finland then his contract counts against the limit and they will be at 48. The reason to keep flexibility is for the end of the NCAA season - last year they used contracts spots on Molino and Boeser.
