Obviously injuries are going to hit a rebuilding team harder, example: Edmonton losing McDavid. Injuries aren't an excuse they're a reality, deep teams/contenders may salvage their season and finish strong bubble teams and rebuilding teams more often than not struggle. Just another thinly veiled JB hate post by you though more or less. I just don't like mis-information is used to cover for incompetence. To me the mis-information spewed by management over the last 3+ years is trying to sucker some fans into false hopes and deteriorating expectations to such a low level that getting close to the playoffs is becoming some sort of marked/huge improvement. You use McDavid as an example but TO hasn't had Mathews for a while and they are doing quite well Well this thread is being taken way off course. EOL Toronto is a better team than Edmonton as I said deeper teams find a way to plug away through injuries when Edmonton lost McDavid they were not a deep team. They certainly weren't a deeper team than Toronto is now.

48MPHSlapShot
Shocking that Mr -400 is going out of his way try and piss people off. Like, literally nobody was "making excuses" before what's-his-face crawled out from under the bridge. Pathetic and sad.

EOL I do like that our players don't make injuries an excuse for losing, even when management does. We have some really strong character guys on our team. SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
Sad to hear Dorsett is having those issues again so soon after the surgery. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he's soon cleared to play again after seeing the specialist. Good to see the Canucks handling things the way they are, with precautionary removal from lineup, and seeking out the advice of a specialist (versus just seeing what the trainers can do to patch him together). 86Viking
Definitely not good news, the guy was never going to change his game though. It is what made him successful. if it is at all a potential for future long term impact, could he possibly retire once being re evaluated?
petmar74
Hoping it's nothing serious. He's been playing hard to show he's still a valuable player on this team and in the league. Which he is. We have the bodies to rotate him in and out of the lineup. Hope it works out for him and his family. Peace to the middle east!
