      He missed 25% of his games over the previous SIX SEASONS and was about to turn 31 ; not giving him a 4 year deal was totally reasonable at the time. I don't recall anyone predicting that he would turn into Doug Jarvis, all of a sudden, in his thirties. 

      Also, you don't "let" guys go in free agency ; it's up to them where they sign.

      If you don't think both guys have some things that went poorly for them (especially Sakic's early years in COL) you need to look harder. Back in 2017 people weren't singing Joe's praises quite so loudly.

    Another sleepless night.

     

    Any ideas on what to take or do to fall asleep?

      An obvious one is to cut back on caffeine, especially later in the day. I don't consume it later than 3 pm. Also, the capsaicin in chillies can make getting to sleep more difficult (I believe it raises the body temp.) . Being mindful of those, plus exercise, helped me improve my sleep when I was having issue. Sugar as well later in the day is something to avoid.

    Does anyone know what the best/easiest/cheapest way to get from Heathrow Airport to Central London?  I don't know, and have not been there in a long time, and the last time I was there, I flew into Gatwick, and that was 2005.

    For me it's Brussels sprouts, spinach, and black licorice.

    I for once agree with Sekeres that the Canucks did not do enough to fight the rap cap penalty where other teams have and gotten awarded.

      I'm sorry, but it's foolish to assume they didn't do everything in their power to appeal the recapture penalty.  What incentive would they have for any other action ?  What are they supposed to resort to ? Running in the NHL offices with guns blazing ?
