Oh yeah, almost forgot - Bear Street Tavern in Banff has AMAZING pizza. And it's right in the middle of downtown Banff.

Avoid The Grizzly House though. It is a trendy pick, as it is in a former swingers' club (even still has old phones that will call the other tables), and serves 70's-style fondue. But it was overpriced, smoky, and the food underwhelming. My wife and I didn't enjoy it at all.

I will go to OEB for lunch too (love breakfast for lunch!). I think they're open til 2:30pm every day.

I now live in Chestermere, which is a community East of Calgary. But I work Downtown.

If you're going to Banff, another great restaurant is Three Ravens. It's at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity - which in itself is a pretty cool place worth seeing. And definitely go for a drink at the Banff Fairmont (but don't stay there). The hotel is very old and expensive, but it is situated in the coolest location. There is a lounge at one end that has awesome drinks, and an even better view.

Oh yeah, and Village Ice Cream is a great place to grab a cold treat downtown. It's between the main core of downtown and the Saddledome.

Second Native Tongues - it's phenomenal. (From personal experience, I avoid Mexican restaurants in Calgary in general, unless it's this one.) Went there with friends a few weeks ago on a Saturday night - took us 90 minutes to get in, but was well worth it. Tacos are $1 off on Tuesdays ($2.50 each - regularly $3.50).

For breakfast, the best place in town is OEB. They have 2 locations, one downtown and one in Bridgeland (across river on North side of downtown). My favourite dish is the Wild Boar Spalla...(mouth watering just typing that). If you're going at a busy time, you can check in beforehand with the No Wait app (which is free).

If doing lunch in the Bridgeland area, definitely try Shiki Menya. I'm friends with the owner, but even if I wasn't, I'd eat there as much as possible. Best ramen I've ever had, and it's not even remotely close. There's a long line-up at peak times though.

For interesting places to go, Prince's Island Park, East Village, and McHugh Bluff are all in/around the North end of downtown. And if in East Village, there are 2 fantastic bakeries there: Sidewalk Citizen, and Mari.

Granlund - Horvat - Boeser is a great 1st line... ...for a team aiming for a top-5 draft pick.

Of course, that's exactly what we should be going for, so sign me up!

Why is GMO a thing? Because it makes producing food cheaper. Hence the price for the consumer is cheaper. But if it's not GMO, it's not cheaper. So you're not paying more - you're just not paying less.

Flames may let him walk just to get the compensatory 2nd round pick for him. At this point, he's still a decent prospect, but probably not worth a 2nd rounder.

At that point, he's free to sign with any of the 29 other teams. So why not?
