    If you were a GM of another NHL team. Would you really offer the moon for any Canucks players right now? Everyone except Hughes/Demko/Miller are underperforming. I think CDC would be horrified the actual deals other GM's would offer now.

      When was the last time a player was dealt for multiple 1st round picks?  Heh, I’m too lazy to look it up myself.

      I do agree there is no absolute reason we have to move anyone this year but 2 things do pop up.......

       

      #1. If we are getting prospects and picks, they are developed 1 year earlier, therefore 1 year more with Petey and hughes

       

      #2. If we are waiting a year on some of our players, it may pressure us to clear cap, or take a lesser offer or risk loosing them for nothing............aka Benning

      That's totally fair. If Miller can snag Schneider/Dobson plus out of Rangers/Isles system, and suppose Garland fetches Lysell out of Boston, I would be ecstatic, though those trades only happen at the deadline is their value is much higher at that point. God forbid we have a replay of the 2020 offseason and lose valuable assets to free agency as well. At the same time, I don't want Players traded for whatever they can get either. I wouldn't be too keen on Miller to Minnesota for Greenway and Addison.
