@kanucks25 As @Bissurnette has stated, this very thread is an example of this.
People gave you legitimate reasoning as why you shouldn't assume this would be the case had he been here and your response was "copium" followed by claiming you're always right. You didn't provide any insight as to why others are wrong.
Now, of course, I don't expect you to listen to any of this because you're "always right" in your mind. Can't be wrong if you ignore what everyone else says.
I'm also done in responding here. I've said my piece and you can take it or leave it. Otherwise, unless if you're willing to set your massive ego aside, it's just not worth my time.

It's not copium. It's realising that 9 years is a long time, especially in the NHL. To think he would take the exact same path had he stayed here is just plain narrow-minded tunnel vision. The fact that someone needs to use a copium meme to pretend they're right about it is copium itself. lol
I know you're smarter than this dude... unless if you're just trying to troll which then you've succeeded in that.

How does a player with nearly 150pts is only a +17

Is anyone courageous enough to try and open up another thread on the LGBTQ+ situation? Last one took 2 days to get locked
-
All I'll say further is, if your goal is to tell people against the LGBTQ+ community that they're hiding under a rock, all that's going to do is make them even more against that community. I get the sentiment, I really do, but you have to go about it the right way. You need to win allies, and a forum without using the right tact... that's just going to have the opposite effect.
I agree that the homophobic slander is disappointing, but telling people it's wrong isn't going to make people on the opposite side actually see that it's wrong. You need to go to the core of why they think the way they do in the first place and figure out how to make them an ally.
Anyway, I'm not going to reply further on this. "Newsworthy" does not mean "forumworthy" and there are too many people on this forum who would likely blunder any possibility of talking to people of a differing opinion.

Post your ultimately douchebag lineups:
E. Kane - M. Messier - J. Virtanen
B. Leipsic-Sean Avery - P. Kane
Marchand - Seguin - B. Shannahan
S. Voynov - T. DeAngelo
P. Roy

So far I’m glad we brought in fellow Russians to help Podz and visa versa, excited to see these guys in action.

I disagree with closing the Virtanen’s trial thread, there’s been some screwed up stuff said in that trial, that should be talked about.

@#Canucks What I'm saying is the exact same things could be said you regarding complaining about it being moderated. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against unlocking the thread, I just think your argument has a double edged sword where the exact same things could be told to you, telling you to move on.
Basically, your argument's kind of mute.

@#Canucks Could the same thing be said for moderation of the topic? Don't like that you can't post there? Move on. Easy.

@#Canucks I can understand the desire to want to be able to talk about it, just the argument of "if you can't handle it don't read it" is such an age old argument that should really be taken to the grave at this point. It expects people to be able to know if it's what they want to see or read to begin with, which is just an unrealistic expectation. You can't really moderate that stuff so I fully understand why it would be locked.

So with no more Canucks season after tomorrow, who will you support this playoffs and why? I'm going with Calgary. Still a fan of Tanev and happy that he hit career highs in games played and total points. Love him more than I hate any of the other Flames. Also Markstrom and Toffoli are there too, so that's nice.
-
Would the most Canucks thing ever be us trading for Tanev and losing him for the season to an injury opening day?

Life with no playoffs (Reprise)

dhaliwal on sekeris and price, mentioned something about a swedish coach that allvin might be interested in. i can't remember his name but ended in berg.
-
@Ghostsof1915 I think people are just worried about Boudreau's age. Whether or not that should mean anything in terms of how long he stays, who knows. It's rather rare for a coach to be with a team for more than 5 years anyway.
-
-
Imagine letting Tanev walk.

For me, it's a matter of these games mattering at all. I mean, not long ago we would've never dreamt they would. Even though the margins are small, it's not a done deal yet. And having great hockey (which the team gave us these past 2 games) is the best.
-
@bigbadcanucks Perhaps, but let me also point out a couple of teams that have started to falter a bit: Nashville and LA.
Nashville's lost the last couple of games. While this isn't much, every little bit counts and I could see Dallas pass Nashville just based on momentum. Remember that Dallas has games in hand.
I say LA could be one to watch as I feel Edmonton could pass them and be the lowest to beat in the top 3 of the division. They have the same number of games played as us and are potentially ripe for the picking.
So I actually don't think it's so much Dallas as it would be those 2 teams to catch just looking at where each team's at.

We're still getting point even in overtime losses. Vegas just got hammered as well with that veto and we're not exactly far behind them now which, not long ago, would have seemed impossible.
So I'll be happy either way if we make the playoffs or not at this point, but who knows. I actually think if we do make the playoffs... the teams that make it at the last minute are often the scariest teams to play against at that point due to the momentum being in their favour.

If I owned a NHL team, I would trade for Marchand, then send him down to the minors for the rest of his contract!
-
@King Heffy And yet, Kane's still in the NHL in Edmonton. If the task is the put Marchand in the minors and keep him there, Kane's a terrible example since he's still here! lol

Virtanen officially released from his KHL contract now due to unnamed breach of contract
