    gillis is saying he hopes to move lu at the draft....how does that work, if lu retires before his contract is up?..do the canucks have to take his contract back?

      Canucks would be on the hook for a 'recapture' cap hit depending on when he retired. Ridiculous, if you ask me, to put rules in place to punish teams for things they did that were completely within the rules when they did them.

      i agree...they could make things work by allowing the canucks to buy out the last 2 years of lu's contract and moving a 7 year contract...they allowed it to happen in the first place.
