@smithers joe It was him who revealed that he had made that phone call.
He still doesn't get how badly that makes him look, that he cares more about the NHL's image (of being potentially embarassed if Ayres shat the bed in the 3rd period) than of the neurological health of the Canes' goaltenders.

@Squamfan It came out that Campbell contacted the Hurricanes' GM during the 2nd intermission of that fateful Canes-Leafs game and asked if any of his two possibly concussed goaltenders could go back in because Campbell didn't want David Ayres to play the third period.

so if tryamkin season ends on march 8 do canucks have cap spacefor him or does eriksson need to be waived to ahl to give usa extra mill in cap i want the big russian for our playiff push the guys a beast. Best case scenario insert boeser tryamkin marky with 10 games left and go into playoffs destroying teams

This CanucksArmy article says he wouldn't need to clear any waivers, but they don't cite a source.
Re-entry waivers haven't been a thing for a couple seasons, so the only waivers involved, if any, would have to do with him coming from overseas.

@LordCanuck I think he can sign and play.
Makar signed after the trade deadline last year and his first game was a playoff game. The reason it worked for him was that as a draft pick of the Avs he was on their reserve list at the deadline.
Similarly Tryamkin is on our reserve list

Thanks to Brandon Sutter's assist on a goal today, the Sutter family (3216 points) just surpassed the Hull family (3215) and now leads the NHL family scoring race.
Third place belongs to Stastnys (2900), Gretzkys take the fourth place (2861). BTW Wayne had 2857 lol....
