    I can see him getting converted to wing imo, it is easier to go from C to wing than wing to C. At first I was extremely pissed off but the younger Grandlund has better numbers and size than I thought, -1 1/2 years older than Shinkaruk with 2 more years of pro experience. -46 points in 52 games in first AHL Season 28 points over 86 NHL games not amazing NHL numbers but I'm sure the quality of line mates was not exactly that great. this leads me to believe one of our centers is being included in a package for a more dynamic winger or d prospect. I would say Drouin but he just does not seem like a benning guy to me

    Anyone who expects Jake to score 40goals, 40 assists a season are out to lunch.. I fully expect Jake to be a 25-30 goal 20 assist guy with physical play and speed, and that is perfectly fine. You do not win the cup with a top 6 based purely on skill, and talent. Infact both LA(x2), and Boston won the cup without a ppg scorer in the regular season. Another point I would like to make is that the highest scoring season by a player drafted 6th overall since 1995 is 71 points by Mikko Koivu, so people need to relax on their expectations for Jakes scoring production.

    My outlook on this season is I do not care if we win or lose games. However, I wish to see the young guys step up and play more minutes and develop which they have ( Horvat, Baer. Markstrom and Hutton mainly) so honestly this season has been somewhat a success in my books as long as the young guys keep up the solid play.

    Thoughts on trying McCann as a RW with Baer and Horvat? I think his playstyle would compliment that line very well.

    Am I the only one who thinks Bowey is overrated around here? A good top 4 D prospect don't get me wrong, but I don't see him anymore than a #3 in the NHL

    Imo he is overrated for those solid few months of form he had in 12-13, he has not been the same since then but that is likely due to being made of glass.

    I heard Man City are interested in Leroy Sane. I do not know to much about him aside from that beautiful strike against Madrid, obviously the price will be high, do not see why ManC would splash out big cash for antother attacking mid

    I am a fan of the playing in the the NHL as a 19 year old then go down for a year in the AHL at 20 development path, it worked absolute wonders for Bergeron, I also expect Virtanen to have a very solid offensive campaign in the AHL as he will have more timing and be used to a higher level of competition. Do not worry to much this year, give it 2 or 3 before you worry.
