      Penner would be a good fit in Vancouver in the top six. Adds size and scoring and will be a reasonable contract. Other than that the FA pickings are overpriced guys. Will probably have to wait for a trade and get a a cap dump.

      They only have $4.6 million this year and they have Smith, Morin, and Raanta to re-sign as well as find a 2nd line center. If the cap goes up another $5-$6 million after next season, along with Toews and Kane they need to re-sign Saad, Leddy, Oduya, Roszival, Kruger, and Rundblad. Anything's possible I guess

    I know NHLSourcesSay is an invalid source but he tweeted that the reason there is a 'hold up' in free agency is that free agents are waiting on Vancouver to see what they do with Edler. Thoughts on that?

      Canucks are not going to sign anyone left from the free agency market unless Raymond can take a salary cut but all I know defence is more important in the NHL than offense and I think gillis will sign Tanev over Raymond
