  1. Canuck's play has been sloppier than week old leftover's

  2. Even the Ducks knew not to mess with Wilson. They had to hold him back from killing Guhle.

Late in the 2nd that game turned Nasty. Leipsic & GudBran featured prominently in a brouhaha!

Hathaway gets a match..prob for a dirty takedown?

  3. I have to back @189lb enforcers? here, I'm not sure why those sites list him at 6'4 but if my memory serves me right, he was much closer to 6'2-6'3.
  4. I'm ok with today's loss. Two RHD injured most of the game, and a great performance by Hellebuyck. Had Bo scored could've easily gone to OT.

  5. You're not wrong, Petey himself confirms it in a The Athletic post-game interview. Edit: He specifies that there was some ice that botched it
  6. Horrific start by Petey so far, currently tied with a couple of no-name players I've never heard of. Really expected more from him after having bought his jersey. #PressboxPete ;)

"Man look, I hear you... it's funny to me too, I mean it's strange... it's strange to me too, but we're talking about practice man, we're not even talking about the game... the actual game, when it matters... We're talking about practice..."

  7. I thought this was gonna be an over the top coach bashing post, but I actually agree with what you said. I have noticed that on the PP this year and it's definitely restricting Pettersson and Boeser in that regard. I think at the same time, I do like that we have this look on the PP as it gives us another style to switch up on. I think some could argue that our PP is clicking better this year, but that argument does not taking into account the fact that we have Hughes this year. I would like to see Pettersson and Boeser on their off-sides plus Hughes as well. That way we're a threat even if they're weaving and focus on getting garbage goals. If not, the opponent will end up giving either Petey or Boeser space to shoot.
  8. He was good but I wouldn't necessarily say dominant.
  9. Sabres win this one. I honestly don't think Alex is going to make it.
  10. Northeastern student here, I can assure you he's not.
  11. Haha I think that’s because everyone knew Hamhuis was going to sign in Vancouver that summer. Correct me if I’m wrong but there were a lot of rumors linking him to us even before they made the trade, but Pittsburgh was like “ah screw it” and went for it anyways. Maybe that’s why the return sucked?
  12. I believe Hamhuis and Ehrhoff did.
  13. Still don't get why Larionov was fired though, odd.
  14. Reminder that Boston drafted Zboril, Debrusk and Senyshyn before Barzal, Connor, Chabot, White, Samsonov, Boeser, Konecny and Aho

They were indeed, my buddy is a Bruins fan and it never fails to put him in a bad mood every time I bring it up. They could've picked almost any other player that came after and it would've worked out for them.

Zboril was maybe 7-10 picks early, but Sensyshyn was ranked well into the 2nd.

Carlo in the 2nd round saved that draft for them though. Debrusk is a solid winger.

Debrusk definitely we both agree that albeit not the best pick, was definitely a solid pick that plays well with their culture and style. Carlo he seems to feel so-so about, still not enough to make him forgive Sweeney for his misses in the first.

Imagine if Boston drafted the 3 players right after...

  15. That was obviously sarcasm as evidenced by "DRAFT PICK CONTROVERSY!" at the end. Smarten up bud.
  16. Being in Boston I actually watched a lot of BU games and watched Keller play plenty in his draft year. I called it when I said he's going to be drafted lower than he deserves and will compete for the Calder the year after. With that being said, J. Hugues is going to be a lot closer to Kane than Keller.
  17. I’m not an insider but from what I’m hearing on campus, returning for another year was/has always been more likely than turning pro.
  18. Really wished Benning drafted Wise instead. Who is this Tyler Madden guy anyway? Probably could’ve had him in the later rounds
  19. #StandWithSean @Sean Monahan we’ll get through this together buddy. Stay strong.
  20. At this point based on multiple accounts, the onus lies on the lack of communication by Willie D rather than anything else. (Kovy, Tryamkin, Virtanen)
  21. I think we’re too harsh on the guy, I’d give him another season before we cut him loose. It’s easy to say that Pettersson “boosts” his point totals when playing with him, but I honestly think Pettersson benefits from playing with such a like-minded player as well.
  22. I don't think I have anything to say that hasn't already been said, but I think the criticisms are warranted. It's not news that his development stalled and his defensive game hasn't been put together during his time in Utica. With that being said, I'm still a supporter and hope to see him make leaps and bounds after he recovers from his injury. If it takes a while for him to develop, then that's just what it's going to take. I hope he makes a full recovery and will hopefully see him on the team soon.
  23. Also fair! We will just have to see what happens.
  24. Actually, I feel like Goldobin has done a lot better in that regard. You can definitely see he makes much more of an effort on the defensive side of things. His offensive prowess is there, I think it’s worth trying to continue developing Goldobin. Plus, he seems to be well-liked by everyone in the dressing room.
