Also kind of ignoring the larger discussion... I honestly don't know if they were yet. I was a formerly chubby kid finally free of my excess weight who just stepped into an H&M for the first time. Classic pieces like cardigans etc don't really go 'out of style' IMO. Their cut etc may change with trends but if you like cardigans you could wear one just as easily in 1956 as 2016 from casual to dress. Link to comment
