Brian White had a couple of chances to score but couldn't capitalize. Which seems to be a theme with Brian White. It doesn't help that Veselinović was hurt and had to come off midway through the half. The game has an air of inevitablity about it - Vancouver will go through the motions and lose. Okay, let's be clear: LA should have won this game. They dominated the first half, took the lead, and dominated the second half. Then, with about ten minutes left, LA scored a bad own goal. Not that there are good own goals, but this one was bad. It looked like this was going to go to penalties. (And for some reason, which I missed, Takaoka wasn't playing, wasn't even on the bench. Boehmer was in goal.) But the Caps made a last push effort in the last minutes of the game and who scores the winner? None other than Brian White. Shows how much I know.
