On topic of Arsenal....Arsene to stay and plan an overhaul.

Supposedly this:

Buh-bye to Ozil and Alexis, presumably a few others, and hello to Mbappe, Lacazette, Tierney, Pickford, Barkley, and Butland (well combination of)

I could get behind that.  Ozil's been my dude so I'd be sad to see him go but if they get a few of those targets, the team dynamic could be interesting.

Would rather get a new manager but how it goes sometimes.

Could definitely see you guys getting Pickford, Lacazette and Tierney. Which wouldn't be a bad haul. Don't really think you guys have a chance at Mbappe or Barkley.

My thoughts too.  We'll see though

would love to see Barkley move to a bigger club and maybe develop more. but he's going to cost an absolute boatload. just can't imagine Arse board turning into big spenders. but i guess if they cleaned some expensive players out then i guess anything could happen

scratch that. I would like Everton to keep Barkley, even Lukaku if they can. they make the league far more interesting by having a pretty talented squad. One or two additions and they could be a pretty good team

Sorta hope they don't waste their money on a Rooney bid. can't imagine he'll improve their table standing - but I guess he could be good to boost the club's profile if Lukaku does leave.

Can't see Celtic selling Tierney unless there's a ridiculous offer coming in.

Lacazette to Atletico according to AS.

And I bet if he had to choose between Arsenal and Atletico, he'd choose Atleti too.

Yeah, if I were them, I'd hold out for a big offer as well.

According to Guillem Balague, Bakayoko agreed personal terms with Chelsea.  And I could easily see them pay the transfer fee it takes.

Not the best time for Basti to leave, must mean Pogbas injury isn't that serious. That leaves us Herrera, Carrick, Fellaini and maybe Blind if Pogba is out for a prolonged period.

Yeah I agree, and we have another match filled month in April. hopefully couple young guys can step up like Fosu Mensah, Borthwick Jackson and fill in Basti's spot. if not, we have to use what we have right now. Pogba also looks fine and he posted a vid on Instagram dancing haha so that must mean he'll be fine. He did well in the couple appearances he's made this season but clearly wasn't happy with the playing he got. Hope we overcome his loss

speaking of Everton:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-united-wayne-rooney-everton-expected-to-move-summer-transfer-reports-a7642516.html

reads like pure speculation at this point -- but it's a move that makes sense. edit: nevermind, maybe it doesn't make much sense except for United

Quote

Everton are expected to beat any remaining Premier League suitors for Wayne Rooney’s signature this summer, and sources close to both the Goodison Park club and Manchester United feel at this point the deal is “likely to happen”, completing what would be a romantic return to his boyhood team in what could be a free transfer.

There had been speculation on Tuesday that West Ham United would enter the race but The Independent understands Rooney’s first choice is to return to his boyhood club, who he left for Old Trafford in 2004 as an 18-year-old.

A tough last few months for the England captain has seen him fall out of favour under Jose Mourinho, to the point he has also lost his place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Wednesday’s friendly away to Germany and Sunday’s home qualifier against Lithuania.

United would have been willing to let Rooney go to the Chinese Super League at the end of February but, as reported by The Independent at the time, the 31-year-old still felt he had more to offer at Premier League level and was also determined to ensure he was in the England team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. That would have been almost impossible, had he made the move to China, and it is also understood Rooney’s representatives were put off by the level of football there.

The Independent has since learned that a prospective offer from Everton was also greatly playing on the player’s mind, and that the Merseyside club have been investigating a move “for a few months”.

Old Trafford sources have said that United may even be willing to waive a transfer fee, while Everton would be capable of offering Rooney a deal of £150,000 a week. That would obviously mark a considerable paycut given he currently earns around double that, but it is believed that he would be willing to accept the offer, such is the pull of his former club.

That stance may be tested if a club like West Ham United were able to offer more, and co-owner David Sullivan is said to be considering a bid. All of those close to the situation, however, currently believe a return to Goodison Park is Rooney’s likeliest move.

China has not been completely ruled out as a future destination either, but that will depend on how Rooney views his England future come this summer.

Can't imagine why Everton would want this, unless they just don't think they can retain Lukaku at this point. Massive step down for them. I could see them getting more for Lukaku on the open market than offering him as a part exchange for Wayne Rooney + cash...

Chelsea's Hazard will join Madrid in the summer as it is confirmed that they will secure his services.

That sounds more like Real is going to make a big push for Hazard during the summer transfer window, not that any transfer agreement has been made. There's a bit more detail here: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/mar/23/real-madrid-eden-hazard-thibaut-courtois-chelsea
