NucksPatsFan
Going to be in Edmonton for 4 or 5 days in July and was just wondering from those who are from there or have been there, what is there to do? How many days worth of activities does West Edmonton Mall hold? Any well known bars and/or clubs that are above others? So far all we know of is W E Mall and Jasper Park. Do they have anything Vancouver-esque like a Granville Island or Stanley Park sorta deal?
MeatTornado
I'm actually going there for the first time next weekend, so I wouldn't be much help until after that

Guest AriGold
You could spend quite a chunk of your day on Whyte Ave, It's an extremly popular shopping spot.

Canucks_fo_life
Nothing, absolutely nothing. From experience, being in that city more than 2 days is torture, its not Vancouver

nucklehead
In the summer of 74 there was a jingle on 630 CHED radio. It's probably just as valid today (yeah i'm tht old)... "Take a walk down Jasper Avenue Visit Storyland at the Valley Zoo... Safeway, part of a good day in Edmonton, part of a good day." So there ya go, three exciting things to do. :D
As someone who has spent the past six months living in Edmonton, I'll give you a few things to do. 1) Leave 2) Plan to leave by looking at apartments/etc on Craigslist for anywhere that's not Edmonton. 3) Hop onto the Henday, pick a direction and keep driving. RAMBUTANS
I've been to Edmonton. There are no mountains alright but I feel too much bashing is unjustified. For years, I heard a lot of negative things about Edmonton but recently, with my own eyes I can say the city of Edmonton has been nicely planned compared to Vancouver/Lower Mainland. Saskatoon, however, is a different story. Unless you want to be employed with good salary, bypass this city. Maybe in another 10 years, it'll change.
