DeNiro
Here's how some of his underlying numbers stack up to our current D-men: Hits: 127 (3rd) Blks: 124 (2nd) GVA: 30 (Lowest out of all our top 4 that played a full season) TKA: 20 (5th) Shots: 168 (2nd) SH%: 9.5 (1st) Not too shabby. Special Ed
I'm proud to say that I challenged Jason to a race around the sea wall on roller blades. He said I would kick his ass. He lied. But that's ok it was still pretty cool. I wish I could tell some other stories haha!
Raiun
Now if we can just get a top 6 forward who will either a) be a playmaker for the Sedins... or a solid feeding winger for Kesler once he gets back from his injury. Won't hold breath for Parise. Otherwise I might need medical intervention.
Mookie Wilson
Christian Ehrhoff rated as the 10th best defensive defenseman in that article. Seems reasonable.
Tortorella's Rant
Garrison is a pretty physical. He's a good shot blocker. I thought 4 was an overpayment. 5 and beyond was ridiculous. We got him about in between, so I'm quite satisfied. Hopefully he keeps up his offense though otherwise this deal will suck.

The Brahma Bull
It's just basic Physics. The faster you go the less your static energy . If Mason skated as slow as Hodgson or Henrik he could easily make those turns, but is that what you want ? Most people with broken backs spend the rest of their lives with a cane if their lucky (not Patrick). You teenagers don't realize with your immature brains what it takes to overcome major life threatening injuries, let alone what it takes to make it to and stay in the NHL !!!
