Gino Odjick voices his opinion on David Booth

Booth has 10x the skill Gino had. Gino was good for fighting and mentoring Bure.

What do David Booth and Gino Odjick have in common?

They both found the back of the net 16 times in a Canuck uniform.

If that's skill, I think the point goes to the Algonquin Enforcer. Booth is a waste of breath in a Canuck uniform.

Oh shut up, maybe he just likes hunting for godsakes. I seriously doubt he's over compensating, God damn.

He wants to play as bad as we want him to be good.

Odjick has played over 5x as many games as a Canuck, he with 444 and Booth with 81. You really should throw away about 10 games from that 81 for his injuries the past few years, and try to focus on the point when he was playing healthy (the short life of the AMEX line - remember?) If you look at that point, Booth scored about 10 goals and 20 points when he played that stretch of 30ish games healthy. The man CANNOT be a bust - look at him!

He has the one 30 goal season to show that even in a flukey year, he still at least has the talent to pot 30 goals on a terrible Panthers team. And, aside from Kesler, he probably has one of the best physiques on the team, and it shows how quickly he can accelerate.

He hasn't produced 4M dollars worth of hockey, but he has barely almost played a full season's worth games over THREE YEARS, so it's sort of unfair to say he is getting paid 4 million. More like 1.3 million per year over 3 years. If you combine all the games he played as a Canuck the past 3 years, you get 18 goals, 17 assists and 35 points over 81 games, which is mediocre, but it's not likely to be his ceiling because 81 also counts the games where he simply had no feel for the game from injury absence, etc.

I'm not especially high on him because he just seems to never get himself into a position where he can work to regain his form (he keeps injuring himself). But if he can, Booth could definitely help this team down the stretch. He has all the tools. He is our new Mason Raymond - give him a proper chance. Raymond was given one, and he is doing quite well in Toronto.

In Native folklore, Bear is often portrayed either as a sort of enforcer figure who punishes disrespectful or improper behavior among other animals and people, or as a humorless "straight man" for weaker but cleverer trickster characters to play against.

Animal: BEAR – from whom healing, strength and protection come

The Bear in Northwest West Coastal Native Culture represents strength and learned humility through motherhood and teaching and is an important family crest associated with family and children. Sometime referred to as the protector of the animal kingdom and forests, the Bear is a well respected member of the community and can sometimes be referred to as an elder or a person that has passed on to a new life.

I'm no fan of Booth or his hunting exploits, but why bring Tortorella into it like he has anything to do with it, and insult him? A midget?? The guy is not tall but he's not that short.

What a 5'7" white blowhard looks like to a 6'3" Native giant.

My ancestors were German some 400 years ago so what does that mean? Most of your comment is modern day BS that has no relevance to what forms opinion today. People should spend less time living in the past and spend the time dealing with today's problems.

In his day Gino was one of the very few Canucks who played every game to his best. Absolutely loved him when he and Linden led the team.
