[OFFICIAL] Canucks Injury Thread

Probably posted in the Injury thread, I would hesitate on Schroeder before activating him. Multiple leg injuries in such close succession makes me think he should attend a few solid practice/scrimmage sessions first (yes I know he is) because even if a player says he is ready to go doesn't mean he is.

See Keslers last 2 seasons coming back when "he was ready"

I'd say even an AHL conditioning stint... Then again our C's are going down like flies....

He looked pretty hurt after the slash (Lack even had to give him a pull so he could finally reach the bench). Hopefully it's nothing more than a little after cramp muscle soreness that he needs to sit off. Our PK needs him!

Distubing play by a disturbing player

Correct me if I am wrong, but after the conditioning stint, if we send Schroeder back down we risk losing him on waivers yes?

Either way again with that leg I would much rather see him play 5 games at full time 18+ minutes than risking it on a 3rd line role in Vancouver

Conditioning stint has nothing to do with waivers. If we sent him down after the conditioning...then yes but they won't do that.

who's gets benched on D? I think Weber has been playing well it'd be a shame to sit him out. I also think he might have more value to us right now than Stanton because he brings offensive upside to the table... I think Stanton might be a little redundant with this D core right now since we're looking for more offense.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong I'm happy Stanton is back and I know he's a good D-man, I'm just looking at the situation we're in right now.
