Hilarious that when people don't want it to be true that they disparage the reports who's job it is to find out this information. Come on folks, people like Mackenzie, Lebrun, Arthur, Jean, etc have sources who hear these things.

They are not just random twitter nerds.

Kesler wants out

So then why would he say he doesn't?

What you need to understand is all these insiders want to garner as much traffic as they possibly can. From Dreger to Eklund (what a moron) to Botchford. They care only about their own bottom line.

The fact that you take their word for gospel indicates that you are the gullible one. Want to buy a bridge?

Dude these reporters work for big national tv stations, I think they have to have some credibility otherwise it makes them and their employer look really bad if most of the time they made stuff up.

Their employers probably don't mind when it jacks up viewership for their trade deadline shows.

Lets see then if MG has a deal for him regardless of Kes wanting out, if he waives his NTC. Then we will all know the answer.

That won't mean anything. You're jumping to assuming something which doesn't add up. 1+1 does not = 10.

If Kesler is traded at deadline, it doesn't automatically mean he wanted out. Most likely, a massive overpayment was made for him and it was a case where saying no would be stupid of management to do. Doesn't mean Kesler said trade me...

If a Kelser trade means that Kesler was lying, why can't it instead mean that Gillis was lying when he said he wouldn't ask a player to waive their NTC?

Why is Gillis' word more trusted than Keslers?

A Kesler trade wouldn't mean Kesler wanted out. It could also mean he was accommodating the team that has been good to him by respecting their wishes.

Actually not so much Dreger. But the other 2 for sure.

Aside from reporting trades first, the "other 2" haven't had a terrific job predicting people moving, especially those with NTCs, do they? Moulson/Vanek situation? Where were they on that one?

Moral of this thread,

Kesler said he didn't ask out so all is good. Nothing to see here. Its all media driven to pick out a random NHL player and suggest he asked out. It was a spin of the wheel to see who they would choose. They had all break to work on this selection process and the wheel landed on Ryan Kesler. It seems his name would bring the highest ratings to their Trade Deadline shows. The wheel was also weighted towards the Canucks because Dreger is Nonis's cousin so they thought it would be fun to again stick it to the Canucks.

Move along to bigger issues like how old the world really is.
