Everybody Hates Raymond
@ThePredatorial: Source says to expect an announcement from Barry Trotz on his new job in the next 48 hours. https://twitter.com/ThePredatorial/status/469952331765669888 Kristopher Martel is a very reputable source for anything involving the Predators. He's a licensed media member there as well, so it's not like some Eklund or a no-name. This is legit. Here's hoping it's in Vancouver!

Drouin
Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks 7h “We’ve compiled a list of names and will probably start the interview process next week.” - Benning on #Canucks Coach. Probably Washington.
Pears
Come on Trotz!
Undrafted
If what Linden and Benning said in the presser is true, that's not good news. They said they weren't going to start interviewing coaches until next week.
Karlsson`s Flo
He may be trying to put pressure on Benning to decide now instead of waiting for him to interview Stevens. That is, of course, if Van has been his first choice all along.

Probably Washington. I really hope the delay in hiring a GM didn't make it impossible to get Trotz...

Anti-Bettman
Not going to be us then. Didn't sound like Linden and Benning were that close to finding a head coach at the presser
Watermelons
IMO Canucks are going to regret not getting Trotz...
Undrafted
I seriously hope this Twitter report is wrong. Edit: been poking around the regular sports media, no mention of this anywhere.
nuckster33
Maybe they were in negotiations and didn't want to confirm or deny, didn't Linden also say he hadn't had talks with the Canucks prior to MG being canned? Linden knows not to stoke the media flames, he keeps his mouth shut as a professional does till its time to announce something. We may or may not have Trotz but Linden and Benning saying they don't have a coach yet may simply be because they weren't ready to suggest anything.... Can't read anything into it either way
Samuel Påhlsson
Benning said the candidate doesn't need head coaching experience @ NHL level. Winning at different levels is a plus. Smells like Willie Desjardins.
Everybody Hates Raymond
I seriously hope this Twitter report is wrong. Edit: been poking around the regular sports media, no mention of this anywhere. Because it was broken by this guy first, otherwise I'd be using TSN/ESPN/SN sources... Trebreh
Its ok, were going after John Stevens anyways.
Undrafted
This really doesn't make much sense. Trotz pretty much has his pick of the coaching jobs available this summer. Why pick the first job he's interviewed for? Because it was broken by this guy first, otherwise I'd be using TSN/ESPN/SN sources... Still doesn't change the fact that I HOPE it's wrong
Smashian Kassian
Probably Washington if true
RustyShackleford
My guess is that it will be Florida. Trotz interviewed for the HC job there in the last few of days and it would seem like a good fit.
BanTSN
Isn't the team, not the coach, who announces these things?
