nah. AV has always been about making smart, high percentage plays. Trying to force plays against the kings is just going to lead to even more LA chances. You can't blame AV/NYR for having to go against a dominant LA team, just like you can't really blame VAN for getting beaten by better teams. I bet if you put AV behind the Kings bench they would just kill it.

Some teams ae just better than others

No, sorry. Sitting back and getting badly outshot isn't just a matter of the Kings being a better team. It's all based on strategy. AV thinks he can run down the clock by dumping the puck and makng the Kings skate 200 feet. This strategy fails time and time again.

Trying to force plays in the Kings zone will lead to more chances for the Kings than handing them the puck and letting them skate into the Rangers zone? Again, no.

Nash is GARBAGE

Collapsed like a building that was being demolished there! Can't believe a guy so big and strong can fall that easily.

SCF OT in an elimination game - this should be good!

OT. Note: Conn Smythe votes had to be in with 10 minutes left in the third, so they could be counted in case of Cup win.

The difference between winning and tied/losing the series if you ask me. He could have been the difference maker here. He could have been in game one or two, or both. Instead he's just a useless sack of crap all around.

Incredibly, he's only 29-30 years old and totally shot.

That and some suspect powerplays that have given the Kings the chance to win game 2 in overtime, and again tonight.

Richards is also, for some reason, not seeing much ice time at all. That's 14+ million in relatively ineffective players.

The Kings third pairing doesn't hurt, either.

Being the better team has everything to do with it. Little do you know, but trying to outwork the kings isn't easy. Endurance and strength wears down quickly, and it is the third period. LA is simply a difficult team to outwork, and a team that makes you pay if you give them chances. Trying to push the play against the kings would be even worse. NY would gas out quicker and after that it is a done deal. They still have a chance in OT

Thought the same thing. How can a guy that big go down like that from such a small bump. Nash hasn't created anything, when the puck touches his stick one of two things happens, he either gets knocked down or loses the puck before doing anything with it.
