Somebody sounds bitter than we signed a defenseman who's been a huge part of the Comets & the development of our prospects, while also being a serviceable NHL callup. Why oh why would we waste a contact on that? We should've just traded for Dougie Hamilton 50 times over. Now THAT'S a long term plan for the defense. Do you guys try to find a reason to hate Benning with every little thing that happens with the Canucks? What the hell would lead you to believe Biega is part of our "long term plan"? He's a great AHL guy and is a great callup if necessary. There's literally nothing to complain about with this signing. Guess what... No matter how awesome you think yourself to be, you don't know more about hockey than Jim Benning, and you haven't convinced anyone (besides yourself) that you do. Find another team already.
