Anyone have any opinions on El Dorado Resorts merging with Caesars Entertainment?

No opinion on the merger but El Dorado's stock will eventually double to 40+, just will take a while depending on the pandemic length and reopening of casinos.

Getting your existing shares diluted sounds like a considerable risk.

Especially for a capital intensive business that Nikola will be running. I wouldn't be surprised if they need to raise another round of capital.

They won't get diluted. CEO Trevor Milton said once the merge happens that NKLA will take on the current stock price of VTIQ. That's why the price is flying.

With a small number of shares. They could also just release more shares if popularity continues to rise.

My guess would be there is still chance of delay.. "expected merger in first few weeks of june" is somewhat vague.

June 2nd is the tentative date, subject to change.

So.. is the market 'crashing' again, or is it just a bad day?

Bears gotta win sometime. Bulls will be back shortly..

Mergers always have to be voted on by the shareholders.

There's always that chance, no matter how small, that the vote could be not in favour.

But given who runs VTIQ and who they're rumoured to merge with, it's a pretty much certainty.

VTIQ employees are getting 1-1 shares at a $10 evaluation from NKLA. Those shares are currently triple the value. I can't see any reason in this world anybody would walk away from a 3X bonus.

I do remember Las Vegas Sands dropped to like 2 bucks during the "Great Recession" then bounced back up to $60.

With this stock..... either than the corona virus, nothing has really changed in terms of their business and operations.  It's not like they're hemorrhaging money non-stop or whatever previously.  Once things are back to normal, the prices will most likely bounce back to where it's supposed to be... just the matter of when.

Think once they acquire Caesars that they'll surpass their previous high?

Both businesses have more than a year's worth of cash to hold them over so they'll be fine for sure.

Get ready everybody.. Today could be a very very bad and I can tell you that if it's as predicted then tomorrow will be even worse going into the weekend.

Fingers crossed but it looks like a blood bath..

Waiting for that pullback....haha

I was thinking if the Democrats push the stimulus bill through the house tomorrow that could soften the blow, no? They're scheduled to vote on the bill Friday morning.

No idea man, haha. I'm probably the last guy you should be asking.

Other than the more experienced ones on this thread, I'm probably just as indecisive as everyone else on what to do. I'm pacing left and right wondering if I should also build up a short position.

You are waiting for an entry point.

My initial point was $21, I revised it yesterday to anywhere within $25, but now I am not as concerned as new possibilities are occurring for buy ins with a lower hold period

I am raisin cash and will step away until September. There should be a clearer market outlook by then. Markets are overvalued. Might look at some real estate.

OOoof......lots of alarms coming out right now about the upcoming wave of defaults and unmoved homes in the US and Canada this spring.

I am looking at real estate myself but I won't be touching that at all.  Working with numerous local realtors and they're doing virtual tours but by and large their sales are abysmal and flat.  Hundreds of units that should have been sold this spring have not been moved, prices are starting to drop and people desperate to move have pulled their listings off market in order to not lose cash.  Add in the waves of new units that come available during spring and it's an over supply issue with a looming inability to pay issue

Ooof. Wake up - find out the entire management team (including me) has been terminated effective immediately, paid in lieu of notice.

Log on to the markets, and it's all red.

Is it too early for the whiskey?

On another note, if anyone is hiring in account management, brand management, marketing, business development, give me a shout:ph34r:

Damn that's a rough road to start the morning on
