All highlights for Zegras are on the big ice, and he is very perimeter.  Skill is certainly there, but what's his compete level?  Hard to see that when there is so much room for him to be fancy.

Zegras is considered very feisty for his size. If you look at his stat line you'll see he had 94 pims last year. 25 of which came from a really greasy play where he stuck his knee out on someone (not a huge fan of that)... All in all, I think I would prefer Boldy due to his size and his ability to strip people of the puck but Zegras is way up there for me as well.

All of Pettersson’s highlights pre-draft were on the bigger ice. This team needs skill everywhere! The best skill is at the top of the draft. So no to two way dman Broberg. Take the most skilled player at 10! I’ve been wanting Boldy all year but Zegras is BPA if he’s available at our pick.

Unlike Zegras, Pettersson was almost always (except on PP) involved in the dirty areas.  Broberg is a D man, who is big, skates like the wind, and is also involved.

Zegras, is a perimiter player.  I hope we don't take him.

Don’t know if this has been posted but Craig button at TSN just released his final rankings

https://www.tsn.ca/craig-s-list-caufield-scores-his-way-into-top-5-1.1316942

Big surprises in caufield at 4, cozens at 14, and soderstrom at 25. He has Turcotte surprisingly slipping to 10th.

Sorry for bad formatting. I’m posting from my phone.

According to Button Soderstrom has high Bustaroo potential.  I do wonder about Caufield and Zegras being so high though.

Button knows a lot more than most of us here, so he's likely closer to what the kids will really turn out like after they develop.

Do remember that Button rates on who he believes will be the best player down the road. While it's easy to criticize his choices I can also understand why he has some of the players rated as high and as low as he does.

It's common knowledge that the US development team this year is the deepest and most talented team they have ever produced.  As many are saying, 5 of these player may be chosen within the top 10.

However, I am wondering if Botton is a little to focused on that group and not giving enough credit to some of the other high-end talent in this draft e.g.) Dach, Cozens and Turcotte.  All of which are C's.  I just don't see these three falling out of the top 10.  Regardless there will be someone dropping to us that we have higher in our rankings.

If Soderstrom and Seider in particular fall this far Benning has to get some sort of deal done...Could go a long way towards solidifying our d-core.

That's an excellent point.  What would JB have to give up to get into the back half or the first round?

It'll be a crazy draft. Cozens and Turcotte are probably the most likely picks at 3 for Chicago but Button doesn't have the first one of those guys up until 10. This leads me to believe that we could possibly land somebody that we have at 4-6 in our rankings.

NVM him having Dach at 12 as well.

We're getting a good player at 10 regardless.
