We gave up Toffoli for nothing. And so a while back I criticized Benning's decisions and mental state, and some people jumped at me about not making light of mental illness.  Now i just read that Toffoli got traded to Calgary for 2 players, a first-round pick in the 2022 NHL draft, and a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft.  WTF.  Maybe I'm the one going nuts....

Been miss'n knuckle-dragg'n hockey for a long time.

Old guy reminiscing; shouldn't have watched that Scotty Walker thing.

It is better these days, and guys don't get nearly so Marchanded up.

But 'in the old days', if you got upset, you might could do something about it.

 

Think about that young 'uns; today you get kicked out, fined, and suspended.

If you have other skills the team needs, they don't want to lose you, especially in the playoffs.

 

Back in the day, you could settle it right there and then, most times.

And when it carried over, it was stern, but so be it.

 

I apologize for missing that hockey; I know it was too brutal.

But I still miss it. 

 

I want some Canuck to go ape on some slimy low cheapshot artist; first one that Marchands up a Nuck.

I need to stop typing now.
