anybody who’s watched the last 25 or so games know Chiasson and Hunt have not been the problem.

Hunt has been solid since pretty much Feburary, and Chiasson at 700k has contributed more to the bottom 6 than Dickinson, Roussel, MacEwen, Beagle, Player Name, Highmore, Dowling, Petan, the list goes on.

The only person I really miss is MacEwen because of him being a tough guy, but other than that, Chiasson is the type of player we should be targeting if we want bottom 6 checking forwards, not these overpriced aging vets with money and term.

So you have no problem icing a defenceman who can't play defence and a forward who does literally nothing well.  Got it.

Chiasson > Dickinson, Roussel, Beagle, Loui

700k a year and has done more good than any of them in the bottom 6 and has more points than all of them combined ($15M or so).

Hunt can move the puck soundly, can get it out of his frickin zone unlike Myers or Poolman, doesn’t throw the puck into the middle of the ice with 10 seconds left of a 1-1 game in regulation like Myers, gets pucks through the net much like OEL, and can chip in offensively. Yes he has his deficiencies, but again, he’s being paid under $1M, and he’s doing as best of a job as he can. There’s a reason why he’s still in the league. Because he’s a serviceable defenseman that doesn’t seem to make boneheaded plays on a nightly basis and brings some offense on the backend.

Good points there. Whatever the reasons, he’s definitely no longer engaged in the “charm offensive” he had going on in the first half of his tenure here. Had the media and fans here positively enraptured. ::D

Even if this is his only season with us, he’ll still go down as one of my favourite Canucks coaches ever. He’s really salvaged this season and has been such a positive influence. Maybe his easygoing approach isn’t best for this team going forward, but I’ll trust our new management to make that decision.

Alf started early.  Do here it is:  if we play crappy this game Alvin and his chipmunks should b

ow up the whole Benning mess.  No more wasting time on craperolla players.  Start over.

THIS. 1000% percent.  Probably, counterintuitively, the game that decides the playoffs for us and like you said the fate of a huge chunk of the core.

Oh of course he'll be there. They've already qualified. Need to pull ahead of the Condors though for fourth. All playoff games hosted by the top seed in the first round.

A game or two may even give him more confidence going into the playoffs.

They need him in Abby now to secure home ice advantage for the first round

Personally I’d like to see Klimovich getting 2-3 games soon, perhaps slotting in for Petan.

He is a player I think will do better at the NHL level than the AHL.

Klim needs more seasoning in AHL, raw talent and shot but a season away from the show.

Don’t we “blow it up” every time there’s a loss lol
