Edmonton could desperately use Dobson, who is an actual NHL quality blueliner unlike the pylon they took instead of him.  Even the forwards would be better than a defenceman who is so much of a liability in his own zone that he is worse than useless.

No Edmonton desperately needs to be a basement dweller and get more first overall picks

If I was a first overall and Edmonton drafted me, I wouldn't report and would just wait to go back into the draft.  These guys want to go to actual NHL teams, not AHL teams playing in one of the biggest hellholes on the planet.

Is the Habs’ compensation pick from Carolina stealing Kotkaniemi this draft?  It looks like it will be in the mid to late 20’s.  Wow!  What a great steal by the Canes.  And they sign the stolen player to a long term cheap cap hit.  Habs be :picard:
