Not that I disagree, but I compared him more to Ovechkin. Not playing style wise, but his level of enthusiasm and the excitement he brings. I’m not so sure you’re wrong, but I wanted to add my own observation.

I like his style a lot. But he's no Bure who so frequently was a one man wrecking crew and good at it. What surprises me is the lack of comments about his signing. To me he's the ready made equivalent to a to 5 draft pick who management signed for free. That rarely happens and they should have received more praise for pulling this coup off

I also hope Milky goes beast mode, I could see him be a two way PK beast who puts up 25 goals and 55 points and becomes a player who really brings value

Truly hope his ( Mihkey ) training has gone well,

understanding it was a mild tear that did not totally break is better for the repair process.

it usually means less intrusion on the ligament and surrounding muscles that support the proper function.

I think the emotion we saw from him , was truly from his disappointment from making the choice to stop and get it repaired.

I’ve had a similar repair ,.  The biggest obstacle to overcome is the mental aspect of knowing you’ve had a repair ,  and sometimes guarding yourself , or being apprehensive about how strong it is .

I beleive his passion for the game , and wanting to prove himself here will bring out the best out come,.

same passion that Kuz has.

Bure was one of the most explosive and exciting players to play the game.
A true hall of fame talent.

Let’s not compare Kuz to one of the greatest ever.   Hahahah

For those who never saw Bure play, you need to know that in the entire Canucks' history, there has never been anyone who could generate the pure excitement he brought. He was a one of a kind talent who remains the most talented offensive weapon ever to wear a Vancouver uniform. And, it must be remembered, Bure played in the hook, hold and slash era before the league cracked down on interference, stick fouls, hooking and holding, which makes Bure's accomplishments that much more impressive. Kuzmenko is very, very good, but not in Bure's league.

I’m not so sure he doesn’t have the potential to be a one-man wrecking crew.

Kuzmenko could become really amazing, but I think there are two things to remember:

1. His shooting percentage was insanely good last year. Yes, it's plausible that Kuzemnko just shoots really well or picks his spots, but his rate was unthinkably high. Unless he notably increases his shot frequency, another 39-goal season is unlikely.

2. Bure wasn't just a bit better than Kuzmenko, he was like two or three tiers above him. Kuzmenko right now is an average 1st line winger. Bure was the best goal scorer in the NHL. Very different levels IMO.

Well, Kuz just finished his first season in the NHL, so it’s too early to tell, but it was a helluva first season.

True, but he was 26, going on 27. Bure was 21 when he scored 60 for the first time. I would be very shocked if Kuzmenko gets much better than he already is.

I think Bure benefited, to a certain extent anyway, from having an insane fitness level during a time it wasn’t as commonplace as it is now. No doubt he would still light it up in this era too, but not to that extent. Goaltending has also improved.

Possibly true. Offense was also a little higher in the early 90s. That said, he was arguably even more impressive in the late 90s/early 00s, scoring 58 and 59 goals when scoring 40 goals was good enough to make you elite.

I would agree that Bure was ahead of the game with his fitness, but I also think that he would still score 60 goals in today's game, especially if you give him the benefit of being raised in the 2000s with more modern tech.

I would buy game tapes of his shifts if they sold it.
