Just dropped by to let ya's know what's really going on. When eyeing the 22-23 sched during summer laze, it's obvious JR, PA & BB decided to play 'possum, then suddenly strike like an expert ninja. It's taken a lotta' discipline for our boys to hold back like this - gotta tip my hat to 'em!

We've lured the whole league, global village, & mangy, overpaid, irrelevant, airless media-heads into this stealthy ruse; & it should be a delight to behold the execution. Brace yerselves for torrents of raging, free-flowing, finesse-driven, magnificent Canuck prowess(on frozen pond)!

We need to go on quite the run to wind up about 50 W's, 25 L's & change..so here's where the boys hit the accelerator. Never worth looking at records 'til 20 games in anywho - but there's my annual, optimistic, crystal ballin'...

Yes baby...

Finally some positivity.

Its only 5 games in.

We're only 6 points from the top of the league. Another 6 months (at least) of hockey to come, and this is like a funeral.

Dig out your pom-poms and lets have a party.

Home opener, lets roll....

SC here we come :)

Now November in Asia, & from here Oct just looks like a long, extended training camp. Boys should be rounding into form now..reasons for optimism abounding.

We got a good look at a lot of our surplus stock. Also added 4 new(Cdn) faces, which'll likely up our intensity. Punted JD, & already have some clarity on summer acquisitions(the Russian W's look superb).

Should be interesting to see how all these new parts fit into the whole. Call it Movember, as the time to make a move, onwards & upwards.

This thread seems like a joke but trapping is exactly what this team needs to do.

In the early Sedin Luongo years , we could beat the best teams in the league 2 to 1. It was a boring style and rope a dope. But everyone loved it. We won a playoff round against Dallas. Probably still stands as one of the lowest scoring playoff rounds ever. Both goalies had a 950 save %

I don't believe in this team's ability to trap it like it's hot

Hell, the 2006/2007 Nucks alone still had Mitchell, Ohlund, Salo, Bieksa on D

This D group doesn't come close to that

& when we lose games: Ohh, here comes Berard, 1st OA, etc...

& should we steal one: Wait, what are they doin'? Man, we'll lose 4 outa' the next 5 ANYWAYS!

There's so much precise calculation in today's fandom, & it ultimately comes off appearing as conditional love. When one steadfastly supports their team, even stuck in a quagmire(perhaps their darkest hr), then it seems natural to cheer like a lunatic when the tide finally turns. If ever they did reach the summit, you'd feel absolutely entitled to proudly stand atop with them.
