Well, that is scorched earth all right!

 

But what I do like about it is, that it identifies young drafted players instead of picks (Minus the Boston 1st)

 

I think trades 1, 3, and 4 are good solid fair trades

I think you are a little lite on the Hughes trade and NJ does not bite.

I am keeping Demko in 5

and I have no idea who Laaksonen is, but if you can pull the other trades off, I will support you on that one.

Out of curiosity,  why Demko to Minny?

I think Buffalo would be a better option since they are using old man Anderson.

From what I gather, they've been having goaltending issues lately.  That plus they have a bonafide top tier goalie prospect in Wallstedt that we could use to replace Demko moving forward.  MIN wants to compete now, so Demko makes more sense than trying to develop Wallstedt.

Isn't Fleury  signed for a couple years?  Stop gap till Wallstedt is ready. Like your reasoning though.

Minny trade I could see being accepted by Minnesota.

 

Boston would probably need Horvat extended to make that a first.

 

Even though NJD would love to have all three Hughes I cannot see them doing Nemec and Mercer. If we got Nemec it would be Nemec + something smaller or two less impactful pieces than Mercer. Namec is BLUE BLUE CHIP.

 

Id never want to acquire PLD. I think he's a cancer and a rat on the ice. And overrated. He wouldn't be able to withstand the market pressure here.

 

I dont know enough about: Oskari Laaksonen so cant comment.

I've said a number of times that we have the core talent level here to be competitive, but that doesn't mean that we have the RIGHT talent.

 

I'm not sure how other teams would receive these type of proposals, but I do believe that we need at least one foundational move that reshuffles the deck. We need to do something that creates the balance that we need across Forwards, Defense and Goal.

 

Until we do, I think we're going to continue to struggle and miss the playoffs. We don't have enough guys who can transition play from defense to offense and move the puck up the ice.

 

We focused on building depth in the wrong places during summer, and from a core level, this is still very much Jim Benning's team. We need to see something where JR and Allvin put their stamp on it.

• Boeser for Wahlstrom and Wilde
• Garland for Mukhamadullin and a 2nd
• Pearson for Bear

Keep the rest, draft high in the 1st and again late in the 1st (Boston) and carry on the rebuild.
