DownUndaCanuck Posted December 27, 2022 Share Posted December 27, 2022 Czech playing much harder and tougher, they're winning the tough battles in the offensive zone and grinding hard, these Canadian kids are just trying to use their skill and it's not working - they need to try and outwork the other team. Bedard's play so far sums it up - he's been terrible. Seeing the same thing we see with McDavid - all flash, lovely skill but no hard gritty work and what a pathetic way to get out of the shooting lane and allow a goal. You don't win in the playoffs with guys like that. Like what I've seen from Fantilli more so far to be honest but no one has been very good for Canada. Theres a reason why Hoglander doesn’t even attempt it in the NHL. Defenders and goalies are too aware of it now.
