Popular Post OldFaithfulCap
Media TV: Sportsnet Pacific (Canada), CityTV? (Canada), Hulu (US) Radio: Sportsnet 650 Overview Sometimes you lose by winning or that's what we are believing. With playoffs almost officially gone everyone is on the train to get to the bottom the ladder where the better lottery odds lie. Most Canuck focus will be on the blueline. Dermott left the last game and did not practice and OEL is expected to return after his timeout. Next scratch Myers probably earned a reprieve as a result of Dermott's injury so the next question will be if Kyle Burroughs get a game or will it be more Stillman. HUghes and Garland have scored in consecutive games, JT Miller has 3 goals and 4 assists in his last 5 games and Pettersson broke his 5-game goal scoring drought against the lightning. Spencer Martin was confirmed to start last game so perhaps he can give up less than 5 goals. The Panthers are coming off a narrow loss to Vegas. They sit 6 points back of the penguins for the last wildcard spot but have played 3 more games. They are more than 10 points back of the Lightning in their own division. They seem too far to get into the lottery and with their pick going to Montreal they have little motivation to tank in any case. Matthew Tkachuk and Carter Verhaeghe lead the team in goals but neither has been consistent lately, though Tkachuk picked up a hat-trick against the Coyotes 5 games ago. Blueliner Brandon Montour is on a career high for points while Bobrovsky has struggled in net and has worse stats than his backup Knight who defeated the Canucks earlier this season but who is currently injured. The start of a weekend double-header which could turn into a 5-game losing streak, there's hope to bring Bedard home yet. MATCH-UP INFO (canucks.com) Tonight marks the second and final meeting between the Canucks and Panthers this season: Dec. 1 (5-1 L) and Jan. 14 (road). PhillipBlunt
Will OEL be scratched again? Personally, I like that Bruce had the cojones to do what needed to be done. Show that no matter how much you make or how long you've played, you need to be accountable for your play on the ice. If Myers has a crap game in Florida after having a decent game in Tampa, will he be scratched? If Miller has an uninspired game where he forgets how to back check, will he be sat? Will management come out and attempt the clear the air on the ever-increasing level of issues both real and supposed that are dogging the club?

Popular Post Devron
That a boy Quinn. Anyone that thinks the players don’t care can frig off. It’s an unbalanced line l up with defensive structure issues. The players care about eachother and the results. 2 5
