Provost
Hey, getting paid to play hockey is better than working for a living… the KHL is a lot farther down on the ladder than it used to be though.
Ghostsof1915
Geez, I'd take the Swiss or Swedish league before the KHL.

ruilin96
Still felt horrible that he got injured in the midst of what look to be a career year and break out season. With COVID and all he ended up not playing a professional game for more than an entire career year.
canuckhound73
How sad is your life that you would sign a contract in Russia.... now? Like play in the ECHL if you are that desperate to be considered a pro hockey player. Going to Russia, RIGHT NOW..... is embarrassing. Good luck coming back to see any of your friends or family any time soon.

Especially since Russia has been painted this awful picture by the media when in reality it’s the exact opposite. Russia isn’t a bad place to play

Especially since Russia has been painted this awful picture by the media when in reality it’s the exact opposite. Russia isn’t a bad place to play Playing in Russia has a lot to do with the war. People purposely going to Russia to work is an act of full support for their war. Theres no grey area about it. You CHOSE to go to a country you know is invading another. You CHOSE to go to a country that you wont be able to come back home from. You CHOSE to take Russian blood money over playing in the AHL or Sweden, or Switzerland, or frankly anywhere that isnt run by a terrorist. You CHOSE to play there. He wasnt kidnapped, dragged there & forced to sign a contract at gunpoint. Of course its political. To suggest otherwise is a level of ignorance that frankly baffling. He could have played almost anywhere else (NHL prob only place he couldnt), and HE CHOSE to play in Russia knowing 1- the money he would be getting was coming from supports of the war, 2- that he would not be able to return home to see his friends & family easily, if ever. 3- to help promote little putlers agenda by playing in his league.
