      In all seriousness, while putting a cat in a backpack isn't the worst that could happen, the shape it was in (the tape and everything) was a terrible thing to do to it.

      @-AJ- - I think that the BPA between Makar and Heiskanen is up in the air. McKenzie has them as a near dead-lock tie, and McKenzie said that he spoke to a team who has Makar as the #1 OA pick in the draft as well. Pundits also agree that Makar likely has the highest ceiling of any player in the draft.

       

      That is the type of player our system needs. I acknowledge that Heiskanen is probably the safer pick, but our organization needs a true #1 D, and I Hesikanen projects with a ceiling of a #2 whereas Makar has a ceiling of an elite #1.

      @Fateless LOL a player with playing in the AJHL has the highest ceiling in the draft? This has to be some kind of first for the NHL draft...

      @Screw I like meanstreaks :)  @RRypien37 I like Glass as well, but if he isn't available maybe adding to the blue line isnt such a bad idea @-AJ- I feel the same way.  Makar still has a lot to prove whereas Heiskanen seems to be proving he can play the pro game.  @Fateless Yeah, that's ultimately what it comes down to.  If we had a crystal ball we wouldnt have to worry so much.  I guess JB is as close to that as we can get :)

      A bit early to be giving Hughes top 4 minutes.  Pair him up with Guds (who can at least protect him if opposing forwards take too many liberties on the small rookie).  Guds has worked well will an offensively skilled D partner (in Florida) so it could be a good fit as well.

    If I'm JB I'm trying to get Wayne Simmonds out of PHI a.s.a.p. Move Vrbata and prospect(s) to get him!  He is exactly the type of winger Sutter/Horvat need!

    LINDEN: Willie has done a great job....Sometimes I think the after time out gets overplayed a little bit....we want to get to more of a 4 line group where guys feel like they have ownership of the result.

      Linden will always keep it PC.  WD has done what he can but I feel Green would be a better candidate to lead us forward.

      No doubt TG seems like a good coach.  I'm just not ready to give up on Willie yet.  I don't think any coach could have made this season drastically better- lots of transition going on.

      Totally agree Goose. WD hasnt had much to work with and the team has had a tough time with injuries as well.  I am not giving up I still see a descent coach in WD,  just really frustrated in the lineup choices but hey thats why I am a forum troll and not an NHL coach : p

    Loved Willie's presser today.  Very assertive and thorough in his explanation for a bunch of things.  Media & fans are often way too simplistic in their criticism.  

    Go Willie Go!  Tony G & Botchford should remember they are just reporters that know jack $&!# about actually playing in the NHL

      Thanks for posting. Most of the interview was about Rodin, and where to play him. I like that he was firm, and is confident in Rodin, and wants to see him before Boucher. It's good to see the reasoning behind Willie's decision in regards to his icetime. I'm still not a fan of Megna, but I guess the coach is happy with his hustle. 

       

      Side note, as I understand it, Boucher didn't even travel with the team. Anyone know if Pedan has been called up yet?

      Because he said that about Bo, the teams leading scorer, but Rodin is top nine? Weird a$$ circle talker.
