Gurn
Dennis Shapovalov makes it to the finals in Denmark https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/tennis/canadian-tennis-star-shapovalov-advances-to-first-career-atp-final/ar-AAJ25Uh?li=AAggNb9 " Shapovalov will play Filip Krajinovic of Serbia on Sunday for the title at the ATP 250 tournament. No Canadian has won on the ATP Tour since Milos Raonic in Brisbane in January 2016. Shapovalov was previously 0 for 7 in ATP semifinals before Saturday's win.' Brad Marchand
Shapovalov is into the final of the Paris Masters. A bit unfortunate that it came because of a Nadal withdrawal due to injury before their match today, but nonetheless well-earned. He'll face Djokovic in the final tomorrow. -DLC-
Too bad he didn't get to play this one, but a bit of rest won't hurt either. Sorry to hear that about Nadal...was looking forward to this match. Djokovic...a huge test but Shap's likely feeling pretty confident so will be looking forward to it! RUPERTKBD
Vasek with a huge upset of Fognini in the opener of the Davis Cup finals. https://www.sportsnet.ca/tennis/canadas-pospisil-beats-italys-fognini-davis-cup-opener/ Felix was supposed to play this match, but couldn't go because of an ankle injury.

Hopefully Shapo can get it done in his match, then the two of them close it out in doubles. I know it's kind of being greedy, but if they can go 3-0, they can give somebody else some singles action and rest up the A-team for the Yanks on the weekend. Looks like it's best of 3 and with Shapo winning his singles match they've clinched and presume they rested players for the doubles. The same sportsnet article says they play the US tomorrow. The matches are coming fast and furious. https://www.sportsnet.ca/tennis/canadas-pospisil-beats-italys-fognini-davis-cup-opener/

RUPERTKBD
Shapo beats Fritz, so Canada is through to the quarters. They'll play either Belgium or Australia
RUPERTKBD
Posposil is still feeling it....upsets world #48 John Millman of Australia 7-6 - 6-4. Shapo takes on #18, Alex de Minaur later today. Denis is ranked 3 spots ahead of the Aussie, so it should be a tight match.
Brad Marchand
Still in awe that Pospisil and Shapovalov have basically tag-teamed their way to the Davis Cup semifinal. Serbia with Djokovic would be a huge test in the semis, but they've risen to the challenge multiple times already.

I like this new format, where the teams are all in the same spot, and playing to decide the winner there. This is more like a tennis tournament.
