Kenins and next years Calder?

Well Kenins is at 18 games, max is 25 games to retain eligibility for the Calder.

He will also be younger than the maximum allowed age.

Not sure if the Swiss league team counts against those totals. It says major professional league, but doesn't list any.

If he is eligible, do the Canucks give him that chance and only play him to his 25 games and hope for the best next year?

No. Kenins is a vital part of our 4th line.

He's been by far one of the best rookies that look to be promising and him developing at the NHL level is just what he needs to take that next step. He's 24, and he's going to get a lot better when he gets those games.

I say we play him over 25 games.

For him to win the Calder next year (assuming he was eligible) he would have to put up even better numbers than Forsberg is doing this year. Next years top end candidates are far too talented for even many vets to beat. Add to the fact he'll be turning 25 and you know the committee takes that into account, and he'd have to put up insanely high numbers to get a real consideration. Kenins has been the biggest (positive) surprise this year, so basically everything he does is gold for me.

He doesn't need a Calder. He just needs to show up every game and play hard. If he does, he will have a lengthy NHL career and potentially be in Vancouver a long time. But those are future concerns. This year is all that matters right now. Next will matter come the offseason, but one step at a time.

Only possible if McDavid does a Bennett/Embiid and is injured for the majority of the season, Eichel stays in College, the rest of the rookies have a quiet year and Kenins scores 20 goals/has 60 points and is still a rookie. So no.

With Burrows back tomorrow there is a good chance he will be sitting.

Maybe, but as others have noted, there is no chance Kenins wins the Calder even if he is eligible next year. He has been a positive surprise this year and looks like he can be a valuable bottom 6 player. But guys like that do not win Calder trophies.
