HC20.0
Longer term? As in 2-4 years? He isn't worth much at the moment though. He should wait till he gets a season under him.
Pavel.10.Bure
I hope he gets a long term but better not get a NTC. And a reasonable salary at that.

TOMapleLaughs
Yes, because he's clearly earned one.
felixthecat_potvin
That means he wants to stay in Vancouver. Good news for us. A great prospect to hold onto.
saucypass
Well at least we know it's not the price that's too low. He probably wants a longer deal because he likes it here and honestly, I'd like for him to get a longer deal. At the moment we can still sign him cheap long term if he gets real good in the future. RonMexico
Yes, because he's clearly earned one. It's his agent's job to push for job security regardless of 'earning' it or not. Lots of recently drafted players get signed to a max 3 year ELC, how do they earn that when they haven't even played a NHL game?
jono2009
Time will tell for Sven. I think he will work out here, but only he can prove that.
Warhippy
Give him 2-3 years low dollar amount. He wants to be here obviously. Sign em up. Just not to Sbisa money
firestorm238
If it's for a discount - I have no problem signing him 3-4 years. Could end up being a steal, and anything under 2.5 mil isn't going to be that big of a deal capwise if he does bust...
SpennyCanuck
hes gonna have to earn a contract before he asks for a 6 year deal... I have 99% faith that he will.
Carl's Jn
im sorry but i have a serious problem with someone who is has un proven them self and is already asking for a long term deal.... prove your self first then ask!
Intoewsables
I hope he gets a long term but better not get a NTC. And a reasonable salary at that. He can't get an NTC unless this long term contract eats up UFA years. In that case, the NTC would only apply during UFA years. Anyway...unless "long term" means 2 years, I don't see this happening.
