Odd.
There's a lot of centers in this draft going first round. I like Matthew Strome. Left winger, 6'3 187lbs atm. I don't know where he's projected to go but mock drafts have him near 15th-25th range, pretty much where we'll be picking next year. I think our top priorities barring that Benning doesn't trade for a LW: LW: (We are desperately lacking quality LW prospects). C LW should be our top priority in the upcoming draft IMO but lots of the good wingers in the draft are projected to go top 15 and then it's mostly centers and defensemans. flickyoursedin
Cal Foote to the Canucks and then we can all cry about our forward depth for prospects for the next few years.

Odd.
A future Juolevi/Foote pairing could become the next Keith/Seabrook pairing. Foote's a big boy too and a righty. Problem is he's going to probably go high Edited July 19, 2016 by Odd.

GB5
Kristian Vesalainen easily for me. I've seen him play first hand a couple times, he embarasses defensemen who try to handle him as he has a great combination of speed and strength and drives hard to the net with the puck
GettinGuddyWithIt
For next years draft this is what I'm dreaming for: A first line LW 2017 draft-Horvat-Boeser Baertschi-XX-Virtanen Juolevi-Tanev Hutton-Gudbranson Tryamkin-Subban Demko Marky Or draft Timothy Liljegren and trade Tanev for a first line LW Trade for LW-Horvat-Boeser Baertschi-XX-Virtanen Juolevi-Liljegren Hutton-Gudbranson Tryamkin-Subban Demko Marky This is looking at the future core and a lineup without any free agents. Toews
Mackenzie's preseason list is out. Apparently according to scouts that Bob has spoken to Patrick would have slipped to the 5-10 range if he were eligible to be drafted this year. No wonder no team seems to be tanking this season. missioncanucksfan
I see a huge breakout year and a serious ranking climb on the horizon for Foote He could be that Madison Bowey type all of us on here dream about having in our prospect pool on the backend. Perhaps even better than Bowey. 3 assists and +3 in Foote's Rockets home opener Hutton Tanev Juolevi Foote Tryamkin Gudbranson Edited September 25, 2016 by missioncanucksfan

Camel Toe Drag
I know it's early in the season, but I can help think that we're probably getting a top 10 pick. I really like how this kid plays. He's a natural centre. A big body. American, (again) to add to our crop of fresh Yankee drafts. Have a look at his highlights.
pluralsight
Even if the Canucks manage to finish close to the bottom this year, they will probably end up with the 5th or 6th pick. If they do, they should pick up Gabriel Vilardi. Need to add more dynamic skill and offense into our forward group.

Has a little bit of Jack Eichel in him with the way he skates and his skill level. He's also going to University of Minnesota next season so he'll take awhile to make the pros. But that's fine. Canucks Curse
The Canucks will likely be a lottery team but id like them to embrace a rebuild and trade for more first round picks. edler should get you a 1st + Hansen should get you a 1st+ it would hurt to lose Hansen- developing into a leader and 2 way top 6 forward, but it opens up a spot for us to protect both Granlund and Gaunce. thinking outside the box here, Ericcsson or Granlubd could be moved for a 1st- ericcson has a nmc but F that and we could eat cap to facilitate a good trade.
