Tiger-Hearted
Dahlén has the potential to be Benning's best acquisition through the trade route. Benning is not in Cliff Fletcher territory just yet, but he demonstrated a brilliant general manager's shrewdness with this trade. Welcome to Van City, Jonathan.

Also, Bengtsson is actually really talented, it's just his size that might hold him back. He signed with Penguins late last season and put up 6 points in 16 games in the AHL this season. In those 16 games he was a +14. If it weren't for the lyme disease, there would probably be more hype around him this year. The only guy that has struggled is Kovacs but that could be a Rodin situation, where he was brought in too early and could have probably used another year in SHL. He's also the fourth youngest player in AHL so there is definitely still time to turn it around.

DownUndaCanuck
Will be interesting to see how long he takes to get to the NHL. I'd think an entire year in the AHL next year to start and then maybe the following year he can dabble in NHL as the first call up. If he surprises people and doesn't get beat around by big men or, more importantly, plays really well defensively, then he might be the first one or two call ups from Utica next season even, especially considering Goldobin will most likely go straight into the Canucks roster. He broke out in the league in his draft+3 year. Which means Dahlen (if compared to Forsberg) should come to North America next year and play in Utica... And is scheduled to become a 60+ point player in 2018-19 =D

I think if Dahlen spends two full seasons in the AHL to get stronger, he would be ready for a middle-six role and go from there.
Dixon Ward
I don't think it is fair to say that we have another Filip Forsberg on our hands. Nobody has any idea. However we can only make projections based on the information we have. what we know is that Dahlen out-scored Forsberg in their draft years and in their draft +1 years. This is cause for excitement if you are a true Canucks fan. Dahlen may never be as good as Forsberg. However, from what we have to go on, he looks pretty exciting. Ronaldoescobar
Will probably need another year in Jr followed by 2-3 in the AHL but he definitely has the potential to be a good piece for us in the future
