Flames were babies tonight

whipped in the game and whipped in the fights

lack was awful

His team played piss poor in front of him, especially his defensemen.

Out of the 5 goals he let in, maybe one or two of them were actually savable.

Ferkland only goes for guys smaller than him. That's why he's willing to go with Juice quite regularly, cause he has 2 inches and 15 pounds on him. Meanwhile a guy like Witkowski, 6'2 215 LBs (which is the exact same height and weight as him) is apparently out of his weight class.

having Manson, Bieksa, Gudbranson, Maroon, Lucic, Kassian, in the division has him on his best behaviour lol  notice he doesn't stir up crap anymore in front of the net like he used to against the Canucks?

and then people like you complain when the canucks do not stand up for themselves. I would have loved  to see tatchuk do that to Mier or Kadri

Oh, so slashing at a guy who's already out of the game and off the ice then hiding behind your teammates when he comes back after you is "standing up for yourself"?

Tough I like, guts and character I like, cowards and cheap-shotters we can do without.

That brawl was sweet.  Pretty stupid thing Witkowski did by trying to ram a guys head into the ice after he already won a fight, that's going to come back and haunt him one day(if he's still in the NHL).  I love violence but didn't think that was cool, I would be irate if I was on the flames after seeing that.  Hope the next time Detroit and Calgary meet it's on tv lol.

I thought Hamonic was supposed to be tough?  He got annihilated by Mantha!  Hahaha!!!  I guess Hamonic is not so tough at all.  Looked to me like a lot of the Flames were scared too.  They hung back, and didn't want to engage.

Hamonic is a typical spot picker.

I disagree with this.  He was getting 3 on 1(one guy on the bench grabbed him) in a scrum then drops the gloves and grabs what appeared to be the bigger Mantha.  All Mantha did was push Hamonic into the bench then went to town on him while on top.  I didn't watch the whole game but I respect what Hamonic did in that brawl even though he got worked.

Flames lost that one on the scoreboard and in the alley.

As usual, Tkachuk stirred up the situation that led to the brawl, but Witkowski will almost certainly be suspended for coming back out onto the ice. Was kind of fun watching Jimmy Howard go all Hexy on anyone in a Flames' uni, though...

Except Tkachuk starts it and hides behind teammates and the linesman...

Tkachuk is a coward/pest type player.  One day he will fight with a guy he believes to be soft, and he will get pounded, just like Hamonic did.  Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!

Not that I'm a Calgary fan by any means, but I thought Hamonic was holding his own early on, then he got bushwhacked from behind by the Detroit player on the bench, after that he fell backwards through the open gate at which point he didn't stand a chance as Mantha kept pounding him from above.  I thought that was cheap on Mantha's part.  Heat of the moment though.  Wouldn't be surprised if Tkachuk gets some sort of attention from the NHL league office as a result of his antics.  Not sure if the hack to the back of Witkowski's legs was what attracted the spearing penalty or if it was somewhere afterward in the melee while Tkachuk was swinging at people with his stick still in his hands.  If the league follows the letter of the rule book Witkowski is gone for 10 games for re-entering the ice surface after being sent to the dressing room.  Even having two refs on the ice it must have been challenging to sort out all the various penalties from that boondoggle.

The phlegms were cocky in this game, shoving Mantha after he has scored, Katchuk running into Howard and Hamonic being an ass all game. Then when they get pushed back they whine and complain.  calgaryschmuck.com is hilarious right now.

they were mad at Witkowski for man handling Kulak but perfectly fine with Brouwer punching Abdelkader behind the back of the neck when he was already down last time they played.

Ferkland the spot picker acting tough in the bench at the end of the game, when he declined a fight with Witkowski in the 1st period.

The flames are a gutless, weasel infested team from top to bottom. Ferland, Tkachuk, Hamonic are all overrated assclowns.

Brodie and Hamonic are an absolute garbage defensive pairing. Trading for Hamonic supposedly made Calgary's blueline the best in the league. It sucks. Pure and simple.

The goaltending is atrocious as well. Glad Benning is a smart enough GM to see that Markstrom was way better than Lack.

And the Canucks defense significantly better than the flames flaccid back end.

Suck it, Calgary!

The best part about the Hamonic trade is, the lames don't have picks for the first two rounds of a deep draft year hahaha

Luke Witkowski on last night's shenanigans:

"We're feeling good. It's what I like to call O.T.H., old time hockey. I think it's good for the fans."

I wonder if he will get suspended for reentering ice after being escorted off.
