Googlie
McIntyre was awesome. - I think I heard 47 saves Juolevi's best game as a pro Jasek is turning into an excellent center. That line with Baer and Goldy is something to watch Man, is Bailey ever fast Boucher, what can we say. What a sniper Great games by all the supporting cast, honorable mention to MacEwan, Beezer and Hamilton Maybe Rafferty's worst game, but he had set the bar so high that it was still ok even if he was the goat on the lone goal Edited October 20, 2019 by Googlie
dpn1
7-1. They are scoring a lot of goals. Oli had a real good game as well.

Ray_Cathode
Interesting, Boucher leads the league in scoring 8g 2a in 5 games (2.00 points per game) but Goldobin (second in the league in scoring at 2g 7a in 4 games has the best points per game at 2.25). At that rate Boucher may not be long for the scoring lead! Godly (yes, I did that) and Baer clearly showing the difference between NHL and AHL players - but Lind and MacEwen are right behind and also better than a point per game. The Utica defence allowed a lot of shots tonite, but not a lot from the prime scoring areas despite being shorthanded 8 or 9 times - they are very good at forcing shots from bad areas, blocking or suppressing shots from the prime areas, and triggering the counter-attack. It is not just Juolevi making those long tape to tape passes and smart area passes.
DeNiro
It’s great that our prospects get to play with NHL caliber players right now. Should be awesome for their development. I feel bad for Baertschi but him being down there has to be looked at as a positive for the whole organization. He seems to be bringing up the level (along with Goldy and Bouch) of the entire team. Pure961089
Canucks kids are looking so good. Lind is playing on another level, that pass he made threading the needle. Juolevi looks like a star, a legit star. Just stay healthy *fingers crossed* and MacEwen, only 23 same as Virtanen and Gaudette. He should be given a chance to challenge these players for a spot. Baertschi and Goldobin on the 3rd line is grossly unfair for the rest of the league. Utica is in for something special this year.

Seems unlikely that Baer, Goldy and OJ will all stay down here for the whole season to help continue this dominance. And hopefully Lind continues his progress and gets a call up. Sure is nice to see the Vancouver depth looking so good on Utica.

The are destroying the AHL right now. Hopefully they're piquing the interest of some other NHL teams who need scoring help. We'll know the Canucks are on the right trajectory when they can start trading some of their veteran depth players for draft picks, which is something we've almost never been in a position to do (not that I want to see the Comets weakened though). 1

Mikey won back to back games vs Crunch and Checkers. Got the night off. Bachman was backup again and has not had a start yet. Comets 21 goals in 3 games vs three top tier teams. Joe Roberts tallied some crazy stat that in past three games Comets score a goal every 3.5 shots. Checkers were so embarrassed by last nights game they went into Syracuse and smoked the Crunch 7-3. Toronto and Comets only undefeated teams in AHL. Both 5-0. Comets 29GF and 11 GA and Marlies 17GF and 6GA.

UncleYaris
I see Charlotte had a goal Shinkaruk from Forsling. Good to see those two not coming back to bite us. Edited October 20, 2019 by UncleYaris

SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
Imagine if the Canucks actually stayed healthy this year and they sent Gaudette down to join this Comets group when Roussel came back.

Yep no problem with Leivo being bumped down or sitting. Hes so versatile he can play wing on pretty much any line, no need for him to be in the top 6. 1

Schaller's been good in that role as of late and the make of Virtanen-Ferland could be an annoying line if they can start to gel. Won't matter when Roussell comes back.
