The stats are not really relevant if you see the minimal ice time he received in the first half of the year. Once he was getting even 10-12 minutes a night the points followed. The way he has been developed in Russia will be helpful as he’s learned to contribute without playing 20 minutes a night. When he is playing for us in 2021 he will likely be starting with 3rd line minutes so will be prepared for that role and will know hoe to work his way up the lineup.

Pretty low rent to tear down random people any sports group chats I’ve been involved with tend to be just teasing your own buddies and they can obviously respond in that situation. Good test for the boys to face some hungry desperate teams. It’s a little different dynamic being the hunted than the hunter I think it’s a positive thing to learn from for our players driving that internal urgency when sitting in a favourable position.

It was pretty cool on Bo’s power play goal(sweet finish) the hawks were pressing up so high to keep the puck away from Hughes and Petey that it opened up a 3 vs 1 on the left side of the ice. Good awareness by the players. Keep that up and they will get the power play firing right when we need it come playoff time.

Leafs are an interesting case. I just don’t believe you can pay 3 guys 10+ in the nhl and not create holes in your lineup. Sure fine sign Tavares but something else had to give. It would seem the Canucks won’t have quite as big of log jam when we re-up our top couple guys unless we pull a leafs and sign a ufa for 11mm a year

I know people hate the dump and chase but turnovers at the other teams blue line drive 3 on 2’s the other way. It’s not pretty just effective.
