    This a real shot in the dark here but, does anyone remember a goal that Wellwood almost scored to tie that game literally a couple tenths of a second after the third period buzzer that would have sent the game to OT?

      I remember a last second Petr Nedved playoff goal that was turned back. I think it was against Winnipeg. We won the game anyway, but that sucked then. It was a joke.

    Something I've been thinking about recently, do you think Edler ever came close to his ceiling as a player. He had inconsistencies throughout his career and at this point I think he's cemented himself as a great #2. I think he's taken the Salo-approach which has allowed him to play safer, but at the expense of his offense.

      I think in terms of his player development two major years stick out when it comes to getting close to his ceiling,

      1) his 49-point season in which he showed what numbers he could put up, and

      2) last season, when he rebounded and played big minutes, put up 30+ points and was steady in his own end.

      I'd say great #2 is reasonable, or poor #1, since we don't really have anyone else who comes close to replace his value and contributions to our team. Thou...

      Though he won't put up numbers like some other, more offensive #1's (Doughty, Subban) I'm still happy with what he brings and I'm glad he's here.
