    Vegas 9th in the west with with 6 games left and 87 points:  New Jersey, Washington, San Jose, Dallas/Chicago, St Louis.  

     

    Los Angeles 8th in the west with 5 games left and 90 points:  Anaheim, Chicago, Anaheim, Seattle/Vancouver.

      I just can't see how the Canucks get in, even if they win the last 7. I've been scoreboard watching for a couple of weeks, and other teams are also winning. Really too bad, but at least it's exciting hockey.

      50 goals in 39 games.  One day some hotshot kid will come along and score a boatload of goals. He could already be playing for all we know. How good of a player will Caufield be in 5-10 years?  He's only 20, the kid can score.

      There's a lot of work to do and it will take time. Impatient fanbase. I suspect the ones that are complaining about management now will be right there cheering them on when they're contending again. I'm glad they didn't gut the team now, how depressing heading down the stretch. They've still got a chance at playoffs, and the off season will be active and exciting. Good times ahead.
