  1. career +/- of 144 - decent can he play the right side with Hughes?
  2. I'm likening him to a Swedish Adam Foote with better skating and eventually better offensive skills. Potentially nasty like Foote, someone who'll knock you down and stand and stare at you.
  3. Just based on highlights of Danielson and admittedly, my amateurish take, I got Nolan Patrick vibes. Hope that's not the case. But how do they compare?
  4. Will they finish in time for the start of the season? or will we be watching a Canucks 6 game road trip to begin the season?
  5. What's on Quinn's mind watching his bros in the 2nd round? Apparently, he watched Game 3 on TV as he just had his tonsils taken out , as per the last minute in this clip, you know. (The first 15 'you knows' were from Jack's first response.)
  6. Vegas drafted Suzuki 13th in 2017, then traded him in the Pacioretty deal.
  7. Bored, so going over hockeydb stats of two former comparables to BB - Oshie and Pavelski. Boeser in his 7th year, (arguably 6th year), yet to hit 30 goals. Pavelski scored 31 in his 6th season but Oshie did not hit 30 goals until his 9th season. How comparable are they now? Is Pavelski that much of a better skater than Brock? 30 goals for Brock - it's doable.
  8. But at least, the owner of the Sandman hotels has a chance to win the Cup this year, unlike his former buddy.
  9. Possibly Bloom is a younger version of Di Giuseppe, basically a quick skating ,north -south type of player, that Tocchet loves. Also, if he picks up his scoring and adds a pestering component to his game al a Matt Cooke- but without the shenanigans, he could be useful. (Cooke made Keenan's starting roster after being in the OHL top 10 scoring the season before.) All that is possible for Bloom.
  10. Back to Rathbone - He needs to differentiate himself from the other smaller LD like Hughes, Hirose by being more physical. He used to step up and take out the right winger in the neutral zone. Those type of hits were in his highlights package before but he hasn't done that recently.
  11. A third way is to have Demko improve his puck skills so that he becomes like a third defenceman, sort of like how Ron Hextall made life easy for Mark Howe on those Philedelphia teams back in the days.
  12. I see you have Stevens on there twice. My lines - PDG - Dowling - Podkolzin Hoglander - Stevens - Karlsson Bains - Raty - Nielsen Sasson - Wouters - Klimovich D Wolanin - Juulsen Rathbone - Woo Keeper - Kannok-Leipert Injured playes like PDG, Wolanin and Juulsen will play because it's the playoffs.
  13. posted in the wrong space- so starting defence group to be: Wolanin - Juulsen Rathbone - Woo Keeper - Johansson ? might need Kannok-Liepert for playoff toughness?
  14. Next training camp - I see Karlsson vs Studnicka for 4RW on line with Joshua and Aman. Or some AHL Sedinery with Raty and Karlsson - both average skaters but good on the boards.
  15. Problem is that Myers allowed a much smaller Tyler Johnson to knock him around in the Chicago game. Things like that have happened much too often.
  16. Cool. Rathbone and McDonough get to update that picture from years ago. Chicago?
  17. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0050332019.html 2018-19 St Petersburg teammates - kuzy, Gavrikov and Podz
  18. Is OEL capable of a resurrection like Erik Karlsson?
  19. Honeymoon period is over. He needs to bear down and produce. His defensive game is decent, seems better than Podz (who keeps on passing into the middle in his own zone).but he hasn't been able to score. I wonder about VK's passion for the game. Does he even like hockey? He seems to be a guy, who's always been good at hockey but doesn't love hockey. That's the vibe I get. Based on his first interview, he seemed less mature than the younger Podkolzin and it wasn't a good first impression. All these 'I don't knows', even though he's been playing in the media capital of the world.
  20. Good to see Martin building back his game. Re OEL, he should look into Erik Karlsson's off-season regimen to revitalize his career.
